I thought I’d fit in one more sneak peek before the weekend started… and with it being Mother’s Day weekend, I thought it especially fitting to sneak peek this beautiful mommy’s maternity session from a couple of weeks ago. 

Not only were we able to get some maternity images done (because when you look this fabulous pregnant, it’s a MUST that you do maternity pictures!!)… but we were also able to fit in some updated images for soon-to-be big brother Hunter, who recently turned four. 

Congratulations, Matt, Louise & Hunter!  I can’t wait to hear of your newest family member’s arrival! 

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the wonderful mothers that I am blessed to have in my life… God blessed me with an amazing mother, three older sisters who have taught me so much as mothers, and friends who I am blessed to learn so much from as they all mother their own children.  What an incredible priviledge it is to be a mother… a true gift from God that I am forever grateful for and humbled by. 

I loved meeting Danielle and Jack and having the opportunity to document this special time for their family.  They will soon be welcoming a baby girl into the world and what wonderful times they have ahead of them!!

I was super thrilled to have the opportunity to document this special time for Katie and Scott before they welcome their baby boys into the world!  Have I mentioned how much I cherish being a mommy to a little boy?  What fun these two have in store for them!!

We were fortunate to have the perfect afternoon weather-wise, and with just the right amount of sunlight and some great spots in and around their beautiful home… we didn’t have to go far to capture these sweet moments.

What makes maternity sessions even better is that they give me a chance to get to know the family and learn a little more about them prior to the newborn session… and vice versa.  It is such an honor to document this happy and exciting time for a family… and Kim and Alan were so much fun to work with!

I had the best time with this sweet family… beautiful afternoon weather, beautiful outdoor backdrops & 3 beautiful subjects… makes my job easy!   I can’t wait to meet their newest blessing in a few weeks!

I’m so glad we had the chance to document this special time for them, before their second son arrives.  I love being able to do maternity sessions when older siblings are involved… it can sometimes be a challenge with the little ones, but it’s so worth it to get these special images.

Rachel and I went to high school together and I was so happy that she contacted me to photograph both her maternity and newborn sessions, as she and her husband welcome their first child.  I loved seeing someone I hadn’t seen in years and meeting her sweet husband… what a special time for their family!

So when my editing and session schedule gets super busy and I find myself not having the time to do things in the same order or as timely as I normally do, it drives. me. crazy!! 

I appreciate so much the patience of some of my recent clients who have had to wait a bit longer for their final images.  I let my boys have a day on their own yesterday, while I spent some serious quality time with the computer… catching up and attempting to get back on schedule or at least a bit closer to it.  Heading into a busy Fall season, the last thing I want to do is already get behind… it’s only September!

My day full of editing included the opportunity to work on these two sessions.  I’ve almost completed all of their final images, but couldn’t help but share a few from each… even if it does go against my normal way of doing things. 

And a few of sweet baby Jackson (no relation to the baby in the mama’s belly above)…   

Carrie and I have a few friends in common, so I’d followed her blog some before we actually met in person.  Of course, once we got to the session, it was hard to not just sit and ”talk shop” about each others experiences.  Carrie shoots weddings, quite beautifully I might add, so I loved talking about all the fun she encounters in her particular area of photography.

I loved working this beautiful family.  They met me a couple of weeks ago around the Kennesaw Mountain area in Marietta and I had the best time capturing these special moments of this family of 4 on the brink of becoming a family of 5! 

Annabeth and Kyra are both at such fun ages for pictures and clearly the camera loves them… what sweet girls they are!  They will make the best big sisters for their new baby sister or brother… and such big helpers for their sweet mommy!
