These sweet siblings were the first and we had a beautiful morning in Cartersville for our session.  Of course, any morning right now when we don’t all nearly sweat to death during a session is a good thing… but somehow the little ones always seem unaffected by the heat and humidity while the moms and dads - and especially this photographer – aren’t so fortunate. 

Jack and Emily did such a beautiful job – both together and in their solo shots – and I loved so many of the images we were able to get.  This one was a milestone, middle-of-the-first-year session for Baby Emily, who I hadn’t seen since her newborn session when she was just 3 weeks old.  She was such a beautiful newborn, with some of the best newborn hair I have had the opportunity to photograph, and she proved to be just as perfect of a little model for this go-around – already sitting up so well, even standing on her own, and full of sweet smiles. 

Thanks so much for another great session, Alison!  It was wonderful seeing you all again and having another opportunity to photograph your beautiful kiddos!

Sam is now a kiddo on the move and I am so honored that his parents chose me to help document his first year. 

I officially started this big adventure in early 2009, so I’m loving getting to see all of my first newborns through to their special one year sessions and beyond this year.  I have to admit it makes me a little sad, though, to know I won’t be seeing these kiddos quite as often now that they’re past their first year of sessions.  Sam most definitely falls into the category of kiddos I will miss seeing as often into the next year… who wouldn’t miss seeing this sweet face?
